The Buzz On Former Dragons WR Damon Gibson At East-West Shrine Game Practice

Former Minnesota State Moorhead wide receiver Damon Gibson is playing in Saturday’s East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The game is scheduled at 2 p.m. and will be televised on the NFL Network.

The 6-foot-4, 236-pound Gibson is expected to move to tight end or H-back if he is to get a chance to play professional football. Gibson played in eight games for the Dragons as a senior due to injury. He finished with 54 catches for 649 yards and three touchdowns. As a junior, Gibson had 90 catches for 1,549 yards and 17 touchdowns.

“This is the biggest week for him on a lot of levels,” Dragons head coach Steve Laqua said.
