The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have produced a powerful memorial video for former pitcher Jake Laber, who recently died at age 30. Laber played baseball for Fargo North, North Dakota State and the RedHawks. The left-hander also played for River City of the Frontier League.
“From a competitive standpoint, he could go out there and compete with anybody and never want to come off the mound and throw 150 pitches,” RedHawks manager Doug Simunic said in the tribute video.
“Anybody that Jake crossed paths with here, in his five-plus seasons, will always have good things to say about him,” RedHawks general manager Josh Buchholz added.
