Minnesota State Moorhead junior guard DJ Hamilton could see his first playing time with the Dragons this weekend. Hamilton (a junior college transfer) has yet to play for MSUM as he broke his hand right before the first game of the regular season.
The Dragons (5-2, 2-1 NSIC) play their first two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home games this season, hosting Wayne State at 8 p.m. Friday at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. The Dragons host Augustana at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Hamilton practiced with the team Wednesday for the first time since the injury. Dragons head coach Chad Walthall said it’s “up in the air” whether Hamilton plays or not Friday and/or Saturday.
“A lot of it depends on how he feels as far as comfort level,” Walthall said.
