The Concordia men’s soccer team is slated to play at least one game on the newly installed FieldTurf at Jake Christiansen Stadium this fall. The Cobbers will host Gustavus at 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Jake. That will most likely be the first soccer game played in the new turf field.
While Concordia men’s soccer coach Dan Weiler said the Cobbers will still use their grass playing field as their primary playing surface, he added it’s nice to have a secondary option. Weiler also said the new turf could be a valuable practice tool when the Cobbers prepare to play against opponents that have home turf fields.
